Sylas and Maddy’s Homemade Ice Cream has been a Kansas City favorite since 1997. We first opened in Lawrence, followed by the second store in Olathe in 1999. From the very first days of existence up until now, this KC favorite has been a family owned and operated business!

What makes us unique? We make our own ice cream and waffle cones fresh daily. Our flavors are one of a kind and oh so delicious. We choose our ingredients carefully and lovingly select only the highest quality ingredients when hand-crafting your tasty treats. We go through extra steps to make this happen. For example, to make our delicious watermelon sherbet, an ENTIRE chopped, fresh watermelon is placed in the ice cream machine. To make any one of our many pie flavors we add an ENTIRE pie into each bucket of ice cream. When you leave our store we hope that you are smiling from not only the tasty ice cream, but from the experience of feeling welcomed and taken care of…quite like you are a member of the Sylas & Maddy’s family!
