The C.W. Parker Carousel Museum celebrates the work of one of America’s best-known carousel manufacturers, whose company operated in Leavenworth. Grinter Place State Historic Site
Built in 1857, Grinter Place is recognized as the oldest surviving home in Wyandotte County. The house belonged to Moses Grinter and his wife, Annie, a Delaware woman whose life helps visitors understand the complex cultural history of territorial Kansas.
